MedOS Smart Ring is NOT a medical device. The health data and insights provided by MedOS are for informational and wellness purposes only and are NOT intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, disease, or illness.

1. Not a Medical Device

MedOS Smart Ring is classified as a consumer wellness device and is NOT FDA-cleared, CE-marked, or approved as a medical device in any jurisdiction. The device should NOT be used for:

  • Diagnosis or treatment of any medical condition
  • Monitoring or detection of cardiac abnormalities
  • Detection or monitoring of blood glucose levels
  • Monitoring of critical health parameters in medical emergencies
  • Replacement for any prescribed medical device or treatment
  • Clinical or diagnostic purposes

While we strive to provide accurate health data, MedOS makes no representations or warranties about:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of health metrics
  • The suitability of data for any particular purpose
  • The absence of errors or omissions in health data
  • The consistency of measurements across different conditions

4. Specific Health Disclaimers

Heart Rate & ECG

MedOS heart rate monitoring and ECG features (where available) are NOT intended for medical use. They should not be used to diagnose or treat heart conditions. If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or other cardiac symptoms, seek immediate medical attention.

Blood Oxygen (SpO2)

SpO2 readings from MedOS are for general wellness purposes only and should not be relied upon for medical decisions. They are not a substitute for professional medical equipment or clinical assessment.

Sleep Tracking

Sleep data and insights are estimates based on movement and heart rate patterns. They are not a substitute for professional sleep studies or clinical diagnosis of sleep disorders.

Temperature Monitoring

Skin temperature readings are for reference only and should not be used to detect fever or diagnose illness. Use a medical-grade thermometer for accurate temperature measurement.

Stress Monitoring

Stress scores and recommendations are based on physiological indicators and are not clinical assessments of mental health. If you experience chronic stress or mental health concerns, consult a mental health professional.

5. Emergency Situations

Do NOT rely on MedOS in medical emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services (108 in India) immediately. MedOS should not be used as a substitute for professional emergency medical services.

6. Pregnancy & Medical Conditions

If you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or are taking medication, consult your healthcare provider before using MedOS. The device has not been tested or validated for use during pregnancy or for specific medical conditions.

7. ABDM Integration Disclaimer

While MedOS supports integration with ABDM (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission), the accuracy and completeness of data shared with ABDM cannot be guaranteed. Healthcare providers using ABDM should not rely solely on MedOS data for clinical decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MedOS Technologies Pvt Ltd shall not be liable for any damages arising from reliance on health data, insights, or recommendations provided by MedOS products or services. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Any medical decisions made based on MedOS data
  • Delayed or missed medical diagnosis or treatment
  • Any health complications resulting from reliance on MedOS data
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
